This is Herringbone. I like patterns but feel more comfortable incorporating them into actual architectural elements than in textiles (I am working on it). Here are some pictures of herringbone incorporated beautifully into spaces. Enjoy.
Such a beautiful entry - the pattern and colors and textures. Laying the brick in this herringbone pattern highlights the colors in a beautiful way. You don't need to add anything to this room - it is beautiful all on it's own.

I love this shower. I feel clean and relaxed just looking at it. It's clean lines are softened by the herringbone tile.

Again, the herringbone pattern with the brick and all the warm colors. I love every single thing about this mudroom / entry way.

Herringbone floors are a great addition to a hallway. Turns this transition space into something special that adds a lot to the home.

FYI on Herringbone or any other pattern - it will be more expensive to incorporate because of the labor. It is time intensive and best left to a professional who has experience with this type of install. The installer should be precise with the angles of the planks / tiles, etc. The end result is beautiful and timeless.
