I have been a small business owner for a while. Prior to this company, I owned a digital marketing agency for 10 years, so I love supporting small businesses. I wanted to highlight a few small businesses that I love. From gift giving to decorating your home or office, these are wonderful brands to know! The companies in this post are ones that I have personally purchased from. There are many other incredible companies to highlight, but for the sake of length, I will keep this post to five and share more later. I included a link to each company's website in the source information below each photo.

Arjuna Design Studio

Arjuna Design Studio is "a décor and lifestyle brand for the modern home. A refuge for worldly and weathered travelers, awash in tonal palettes and intricate lines." Woman founded and operated, there are many beautiful products that are worth checking out from this brand. Their South Asian design aesthetic brings beauty and interest to any space.

I bought this brass pot from Arjuna. I personally use it for ghee and keep it right next to my stove. I cook a lot of Indian food and use ghee quite a bit. But you can also use it for sugar or other spices. It is beautiful and I love it on my counter.

Estelle Colored Glass

Estelle Colored Glass products are high quality and beautiful. The company sells all types of glassware from wine glasses to every day tumblers to cake stands. I have gifted the champagne coupes in different colors several times and they never disappoint. The founder, Stephanie Summerson Hall, gained a love of colored glass from her grandmother, Estelle, who was an avid collector of it. The company's products are heirloom quality. Also, if gifting, the products come in a beautiful box with a printed story of the company's founding.

Papaya Reusables

I found these reusable papertowels through an Instagram ad and was impressed by all of their five star ratings. I ordered a two pack initially to try. I loved that each one replaced 17 rolls of paper towels. When I received them, I saw how easily they could be cleaned and was amazed that they never smelled! I was even surpised at how absorbent they were. I have two young boys at home who are constantly spilling things - these reusable towels are workhorses and make cleaning up a lot faster and efficient than papertowels. They have several fun designs to choose from and come with a drying hook that can be stuck to any surface. When hung from the hook, the towels dry even faster. Added bonus - they are even compostable!

BLUELAND

Blueland sells household products - soaps, cleaners, and personal products - without any plastic packaging. This is Blueland's Mission from their website:

Our mission is simple: make it easy to be eco with innovative products in reusable packaging that are convenient, effective and affordable.

This is how it works. You purchase the container once and then you purchase refills for the container ongoing. I first started using their foaming hand soap. So, I bought the glass bottle and plastic pump, and then I purchased the soap tablets that you disolve in the bottle with water. You can subscribe and recieve the refill tablets on a consistent basis in paper packaging. After trying the soap and really liking it, I started using the diswasher tablets and laundry tablets (both housed in tin containers). I have had a great experience with these and am excited to try even more of the products.

The founder, Sarah, was compelled to start the company after becoming a mom and realizing how much plastic contamination was in the food and water she was using. She saw that there weren't household products and cleaners that came without plastic packaging, and so she started Blueland. The company has been carbon neutral since 2020 and is Climate Neutral Certified as of 2021.

Anewall

Anewall was started by sister in laws who were looking for wall paper for a powder room. When they couldn't find what they were looking for, they decided to start making their own. Their designs are fresh and beautiful. The product comes in a few different options - pre-pasted, traditional and in some cases peel and stick. I have gone with the pre-pasted both times I have used the product. The first time I used it was in my son's nursery and the second time for a client. Both rooms gained temendously from the wallpaper. The papers are thick and high quality and the customer service is great. Also, if you want to buy a mural, they will customize it for the size of your wall.
